Activity Support Facility
The aim of the Activity Support Facility (ASF) currently focuses on supporting capacity building and leadership within regional organisations and their constituencies through the implementation of pilot interventions such as support networks for women and families living with HIV and AIDS. The desired outcome being increased knowledge of HIV and AIDS and leadership within organisations at all levels.
In order to access the ASF, the Project Management Office (PMO) and technical advisors assist local organisations to design funding proposals. Proposals, then, undergo technical review by experts, before being submitted to the Project Working Group (PWG) for approval. Once approved by the PWG, implementing agencies are required to develop an implementation plan which is then reviewed collaboratively by the implementing agency and the PMO every three months.
