Two levels of HIV/AIDS Education (for education leaders and teachers in Urumqi, Yili and Kashgar)

The objectives of this project are to raise awareness and increase support amongst school principals and health education teachers to deliver information and carry out activities for middle school students, improve attitudes and support behavior change in school principals and teachers towards PLWHA and their children, and to develop workplans for HIV/AIDS prevention in selected school and improve teaching skills of teachers in HIV/AIDS.

This project is nearing completion. It has been successful in establishing HIV/AIDS related education in the pilot schools. Proposals are being developed in Yining City and Kashgar City to expand the project and include more schools.
